Project Update

BRAG is working with Komo Energy on a proposal for a Bunyip town battery supplied by a small solar farm on land behind the Recreation Reserve. The battery would feed electricity into the grid to help meet peak electricity demands. Currently AusNet, the local grid manager, is conducting a feasibility study of the project, to establish the cost of connecting the battery into the grid. Subject to a positive outcome of this feasibility study the Bunyip Community will have the first opportunity to invest in the project; local investment keeps the financial benefit of the project in Bunyip.
